16/365 - The Good Old Days

My parents are members of a Classic Chevy car club. Today was the annual mechanical workshop that they host at my father's business/shop. He teaches the guys some repairs in the garage and Mom has the ladies in the office. The women have some sort of party (purses, jewelery, etc) and then they pack care packages for soldiers. Of course, there's also more food than everyone can eat.

Since its winter, most of the families bring their "civvies" (civilian cars aka: non classics), but a few will bring out the classics. I saw this one and had to take a few pics. (The '57 Chevy was my favorite as a kid.)

I used the HDRish feature on picnik then played with those lovely duo tones. I thought a diptych would be cool to show the headlight and the tail light/fin.

Headlight info:
Exposure 0.003 sec (1/320)
Aperture f/3.2
Focal Length 7.3 mm
ISO Speed 100
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

  1. Nice use of the diptych- both shots are well composed and fill the frama nicely. Good job :)
