22/365-So dirty

As a kids, my sister and I had daily chores (Hadn't my mother heard of child labor laws?). We also had "Saturday chores", which were never actually done on Saturday. They had to completed Friday after school if we wanted to do things with our friends that night or over the weekend. These so-called "Saturday chores" were things like dusting, scrubbing the bathrooms, mopping, mowing the grass, etc. Failure to comply would result in a revocation of privileges or allowance (or, dare I admit it, the belt!)
Anyway, today is Saturday and while I was starting to do chores, I noticed that I had tracked in some mud on my snow boots. grrrr. But instead of cleaning it up, I grabbed my camera. (I know ...right?) I thought the light hitting the floor looked cool and that pile of dirt was lined up with it. So,...here's today's picture.
Guess I better go clean that up and finish my chores.

  1. The light somehow makes the dirt look "holy" or sacred. Maybe dirt from Jerusalem or something?
I like the composition and the fact that you made dirt interesting :)

Now if only Horasio would have been here to help me clean. :)
P.S. I did clean up the mess and get some chores done. Then I got to go hang with DD for cousin time.
